Privacy Policy

Paprix(“we”, “us”, “our”) is an online service that helps teachers generate exam variations. Our registered address is available on request at support@paprix.app.

• Account data: email address, display name, hashed password.
• Exam content: the text you paste or upload for processing.
• Usage data: exam count, subscription tier, login timestamps.
• Billing data: handled entirely by Paddle. We store only your Paddle customer ID and subscription status — never card numbers.
• Technical data: IP address, user agent, structured activity logs for security purposes.

• To provide and improve the Paprix service.
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, billing receipts).
• To enforce fair-use limits and detect abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your exam content to train machine-learning models.

Account data is retained while your account is active. On deletion, personal identifiers are removed within 30 days. Billing records are retained for 7 years for legal compliance. Exam PDFs in cloud storage are deleted immediately on exam deletion.

• Upstash Redis — rate limiting and caching.
• Paddle — payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant).
• SendGrid — transactional email delivery.
• Neon / Supabase — PostgreSQL database hosting.

If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have the right to:

• Access a copy of your data (Settings → Profile → Download my data).
• Correct inaccurate data (Settings → Profile).
• Delete your account and personal data (Settings → Security → Delete account).
• Object to processing or request restriction — email us.
• Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

We use only functional cookies required for authentication (session token). We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

We will notify you by email of material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
